SSD Academy Empowers Qawmi Madrasa Trainees with Pre-Vocational Skills under UNDP-ISEC Project

SSD Academy recently completed pre-vocational training assessments for 160 Qawmi Madrasa trainees under the BNFE and UNDP-ISEC Project. Focusing on Computer Operation, Graphic Design, and Tailoring, the program achieved a 100% competency rate across four QMS centers in Ramu and Maheshkhali. This initiative empowers Madrasa students with the digital and practical skills needed for self-employment and career readiness in Bangladesh.

Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh – SSD Academy, in partnership with the Bureau of Non-Formal Education (BNFE) and the UNDP-ISEC Project, has achieved a major milestone in providing vocational training to Qawmi Madrasa students. This initiative is designed to bridge the gap between traditional education and modern employment through specialized Pre-Vocational Occupations.

The program successfully conducted Summative Assessments for 160 trainees who completed three months of rigorous training. These assessments were held across four QMS Centers located in Ramu and Maheshkhali.

Pre-Vocational Training Occupations

The curriculum focused on two primary high-demand sectors:

  1. Computer Operation and Graphic Design (CO&GD): Equipping trainees with essential digital literacy and creative design skills for the modern tech landscape.

  2. Tailoring and Dress Making (TDM): Providing practical, hands-on training for self-employment and textile industry readiness.

Success at QMS Centers

The assessments were hosted at the following Qawmi Madrasa-based Quality Management System (QMS) centers:

  • Rashidia Azizul Uloom Madrasah Yeatimkhana & Hafzakhana, Ramu.

  • Ehyea-Ulumiddin Madrasha & Yatimkhana, Maheshkhali.

  • Mohammadia Arabia Hafezia Madrasha & Etimkhana, Ramu.

  • Hazrat Ayesha Siddika (R.) Girls Madrasah.

We are proud to announce a 100% Competency Rate for all participants across these centers. This outcome demonstrates that with the right resources, Qawmi Madrasa youth can excel in technical and digital fields, paving the way for a more inclusive and skilled workforce in Bangladesh.
