Grand Launch of Electrical Installation & Maintenance (Level-1) Training at Chakaria

SSD Academy and STTI inaugurated the "Electrical Installation & Maintenance, Level-1" course for 40 young male pre-vocational graduates at Modinatul Uloom Islamia Madrasah in Chakaria. Supported by the ILO-ISEC Project, this 7-month BNQF-aligned program prepares trainees with hands-on technical skills, curriculum logbooks, and practical tools for immediate wage employment and self-reliance.

Step-Up Skill Development Academy and Sharif Technical Training Institute launched the Electrical Installation & Maintenance (Level-1) trade at Modinatul Uloom Islamia Madrasah in Malumghat, Chakaria. Under the ILO-ISEC Project, 40 young male trainees began a rigorous 7-month competency-based course equipped with specialized logbooks and workshop materials.

On the afternoon of June 8, 2026, at 1:30 PM, Step-Up Skill Development Academy (SSD Academy), in partnership with consortium member Sharif Technical Training Institute (STTI), officially launched the Electrical Installation & Maintenance (EIM), Level-1 technical training trade at Modinatul Uloom Islamia Madrasah & Orphanage in Cha-bagan, Malumghat, Chakaria, Cox’s Bazar.

Implemented under the International Labour Organization’s (ILO) ISEC Project, this practical, competency-based training stream welcomes a dedicated cohort of 40 young male pre-vocational graduates. Over an intensive 7-month curriculum aligned with Bangladesh National Qualifications Framework (BNQF) standards, trainees will master domestic and commercial electrical wiring, troubleshooting, maintenance, and workplace safety practices.

The overarching goal is to prepare participants for immediate entry into wage employment with electrical contractors and local industries, or to foster micro-entrepreneurship and self-reliance within their communities.

During the launch event, trainees were formally handed their curriculum-specific instructional logbooks and essential stationery kits to begin their workshop-based modules immediately. SSD Academy and STTI extend their appreciation to local community leaders, the madrasa administration, and the ILO for their collaborative drive toward sustainable youth livelihoods.
