In her advisory role, Saharia provides strategic direction on gender-sensitive programming, community mobilization, market linkages, and institutional compliance.

Saharia Parveen is a veteran development practitioner, social researcher, and gender specialist with more than 27 years of progressive experience directing multi-sectoral development programs across Bangladesh. Combining extensive academic training in Accounting, Law (LLB), Human Resource Management (PGD-HRM), and Counseling Psychotherapy, she provides comprehensive advisory oversight for institutional governance, inclusive training design, and community-driven livelihood initiatives.

Throughout her career, Saharia has led high-impact projects with organizations including CARE Bangladesh, Uttaran, Proshika, Cox's Bazar Chamber of Commerce & Industry (with ILO and donor partnerships), and leading market research institutions. Her field leadership in Cox's Bazar has reached tens of thousands of participants—including women, indigenous groups, and host and refugee communities—linking vocational skills training directly to sustainable income-generating activities and market access.
