A joint delegation from the High Commission of Canada and the International Labour Organization (ILO) visited SSD Academy Consortium’s skills development centers across three host Qwami Madrasahs in Cox’s Bazar under the ILO-ISEC Project. The distinguished guests observed ongoing BNQF-aligned training sessions in Tailoring & Dress Making, Digital Marketing, and Primary Health Care Services, engaging directly with trainees on their path to sustainable livelihoods.
Step-Up Skill Development (SSD) Academy, as the Consortium Lead (SSD Academy | RTI | STTI), hosted a high-level joint delegation from the High Commission of Canada in Bangladesh (Global Affairs Canada) and the International Labour Organization (ILO) on August 19, 2026.
The official visit provided the dignitaries with a comprehensive overview of the technical and vocational training programs being delivered across three host Qwami Madrasah campuses in Cox’s Bazar under the ILO-ISEC Project.

During the visit, the delegates observed interactive, BNQF-aligned practical demonstrations and engaged in direct discussions with trainees. The delegates commended the initiative’s impact on mainstreaming Madrasah pre-vocational youth—especially young women—by equipping them with market-responsive, employment-ready skills.
