SSD Academy and SSD Youth Foundation completed a dedicated workshop on the six core principles of Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) and Prevention of Sexual Harassment (PSH), equipping staff to safeguard women, children, and all beneficiaries.
SSD Academy and SSD Youth Foundation successfully conducted a training workshop on the six core principles of Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) and the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (PSH), held at the organization's training venue. The workshop forms part of the Foundation's ongoing commitment to safeguarding every woman, child, parent, caregiver, and beneficiary who comes into contact with its staff and programs.
The session trained participants on recognizing and preventing sexual exploitation and abuse, with particular emphasis on ensuring that no beneficiary — whether through a staff member or anyone associated with the organization — is ever subjected to exploitation or abuse involving exchange, enticement, or coercion. Participants were also briefed on the organization's code of conduct and the consequences of violating it, reinforcing a culture of accountability and zero tolerance toward abuse.
This training reflects SSD Youth Foundation's broader safeguarding framework, which already underpins its work with women, children, and vulnerable communities across Cox's Bazar. By ensuring every staff member understands and upholds these standards, the Foundation continues to build a safe, accountable environment for the communities it serves — knowledge the organization stresses is essential for everyone to know and follow.
